Developed in the 1990s and formerly known as Stephens the name was changed to Varsity Lakes in 2003. Varsity Lakes is a well-planned community covering 5.9 km2 and has been developed surrounding Lake Orr with majority of the dwellings relatively new.

Varsity Lakes is a growing area and continues to enjoy development that offers all resident lifestyle choices. You can enjoy walks around the Lake Orr area and everything this family friendly community has to offer.

Varsity Lakes has a variety of educational facilities with the Varsity College Primary Campus on the South side and the Varsity College Secondary Campus on the North side of Lake Orr, also Bond University, Australian Industry Trade College together with early learning centres. Varsity Lakes train station offers transportation at your fingertips together with close proximity to the M1 motorway. Varsity Lakes has a vibrant village shopping area called Market Square with plenty of cafes, eateries and other outlets. All this close to the Robina Town Centre and Stocklands Shopping Centre in Burleigh.
